Raymond Chandler “Farewell, My Lovely” Chandler’s 2nd Philip Marlowe novel 1st time in paperback
"Farewell, My Lovely" by Raymond Chandler, published 1944 by Pocket. Second appearance of the protagonist Philip Marlowe, after "The Big Sleep", in novel form.
First edition, 6th printing (early). This is a "good plus" or better paperback with a solid, albeit cocked spine. No loose, torn or folded pages. No writing. Back cover rather rubbed and faded. Covers show a fair amount of creasing. Internally, pages are of quality paper - rather unusual for the period - and are nice and bright. See accompanying images for full condition details. Considered to be one of the "big four" novels of Mr. Chandler's career. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged and fully insured.

Ride the Pink Horse: 1946 Dell Map Back Vintage Paperback
This is a "good plus" vintage paperback with the desirable "map back" design that Dell Books popularized in the Forties, published in 1946.
The binding is solid, not cracked or shook. The reason I have graded this as just "good plus" is that there is what appears to be some predation at the top of the spine. Otherwise complete and solid. Text block closes tightly, a hint of roll. Much of the glossy coating appears to have come off the covers. Original owner names penned inside front free endpaper, otherwise no writing, no torn pages. Super fun! This is one of Ms. Hughes best known of 14 crime noir novels, and it was made into a film by Robert Montgomery in 1947. Please see the images for full condition details. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged.
