* **Overall Grade:** Good+ (G+)/Very Good- (VG-)
* **Cover & Spine:** Maroon cloth over boards with blind stamping; spines somewhat sunned with heads and tails bumped and the cloth shows wear, volume 1 tail is frayed; silver-white bust vignettes and lettering on spine remain legible with light rubbing. Board corners are bumped with frayed cloth at the tips.
* **Text Block & Pages:** Pages are tanned around the periphery, block are tight and square; outer block edges show light moisture exposure midway down, not visible on the pages internally; volume 2 has approximately 10 little, shallow pinholes in outer block edge. Previous owner inscription in ink (“Personal Jeff”) on front endpapers.
* **Binding:** Hardcover boards; Volume I has back inner hinge starting, while text block remains intact; Volume II has the front hinge starting with exposed mull webbing.
