This is a “very good” vintage hardcover in orange cloth wrapped boards. No torn, folded, loose or significantly creased pages unless specified below. NOT ex-library. Will not contain underlining or highlighting unless called out below in item specifics. Dust jacket included if shown in images. First edition, as shown by matching date on title page and copyright page on verso. 206 pages You will receive the book shown in the accompanying images. ITEM SPECIFICS: Binding is tight, not cracked, strong gutters and hinges, text block square, closes tightly. Cloth wrapped boards are relative uniform in color, spine shows slight tanning. Spine head and tail are bumped, but not frayed, board corners minimally bumped with just a hint of wear at tips. Aside from gift inscription neatly penned FEP, no other writing. This is a "very good -" children's vintage hardcover , full color book. The spiral binding is intact, with the comb not crushed, some wear at the top and heel of the spine, but the pages are all tightly bound. It appears that not much saving actually occurred with this particular copy, as none of the coin or bill slots show signs of use. Inside the back cover there is a sleeve entitled "My bank book" where the owner could slide their savings book into for safe keeping. This two is "as new". Some edge wear, some tanning on edges, but overall, all of the illustrations are very bright and pleasing.
The matching original jacket has had better days, with two large losses on the front cover along with several smaller ones and the spine is quite worn. Now protected and remediated in a removable archival sleeve. Not perfect, but very few copies of this book are found with a jacket at all. A really interesting piece of childhood Americana! Will ship promptly, carefully packaged, fully insured.

This is a "very good -" children's vintage hardcover , full color book. All four original Harrison Cady glossy full-page illustrations are present. Binding and hinges are crisp and intact, not split. Corners lightly bumped.
