This is a “very good” vintage decorated hardcover in tan cloth wrapped boards with pictorial pastedown on the front board, decorated endpapers, 6 glossy full-color full page illustrations by Henry Pitz, published in 1928 by Houghton-Mifflin of Cambridge Massachusetts.
Binding is solid with intact hinges. No loose, torn, or folded pages, no marks or writing. Text block closes tightly, has a little spine cock. Board corners are mildly bumped with some light wear at the tips. Tan cloth is uniform in color on boards and spine. Back board shows some surface wear. Pictorial paste down on front board is bright, whole, one very small chip in edge toward spine.
