The gutters and hinges are tight and crisp, not split. No writing, no loose, torn or folded pages. Text block closes tightly, upper edge shows foxing. Board corners are not bumped, spine head and tail lightly so. Some light bumping along board bottom edges.
Original vintage dust wrapped has some slight chipping at flap fold corners, also at spine head and tail. Spine is mildly sunned.

The binding is tight, not shook or split, text block closes square and tight. There is a book store "guarantee" slip affixed to the front free end paper, looks to be dated Feb - 5 1962 (?). A penned name on endpaper also. Some pencil underlining in various places throughout along with a few marginal annotations, none of which affect the readability of the book and are not significantly impacting presentation.
