Raymond Chandler “Farewell, My Lovely” Chandler’s 2nd Philip Marlowe novel 1st time in paperback
"Farewell, My Lovely" by Raymond Chandler, published 1944 by Pocket. Second appearance of the protagonist Philip Marlowe, after "The Big Sleep", in novel form.
First edition, 6th printing (early). This is a "good plus" or better paperback with a solid, albeit cocked spine. No loose, torn or folded pages. No writing. Back cover rather rubbed and faded. Covers show a fair amount of creasing. Internally, pages are of quality paper - rather unusual for the period - and are nice and bright. See accompanying images for full condition details. Considered to be one of the "big four" novels of Mr. Chandler's career. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged and fully insured.

Hudson Valley Victorian era hospital 13×19″ or 17×22″ poster
$12.00 – $17.00Price range: $12.00 through $17.00
Gothic wall art steampunk poster, "Asylum Doorway", made-to-order wall hanging.
In 1871, New York State opened the "Hudson River Hospital for the Insane" in Dutchess County, on the East banks of the Hudson River, just below what is know known as Hyde Park. It was the second institution of it's kind in the state, being created since the original hospital in Utica, New York, was full. The High Victorian Gothic architecture was the first time it was used in an institutional facility. The building, although in a state of significant disrepair, is now on the National Historic Register. I took this photograph in 2007, intrigued by how the door had been "retrofitted" with a "modern" portal and the ominous "asbestos" warning. Will make an evocative addition to your living space's decor. Available in 2 sizes: 13 x 19" 17 x 22" Your print will be created using a wide carriage professional Epson printer with wide gamut, long lasting pigment based inks, applied to heavy 250 gsm art paper made by Red River Papers, designed for many years of viewing pleasure. Ships in a sturdy kraft shipping tube. All of our large format prints are carefully delivered to you in a sturdy kraft shipping tube. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The American Film Directors 1977 First edition Large format paperback photography book
This is a "very good" vintage paperback coffee-table format photography book, profusely illustrated with black and white "on location" photographic portraits of American cinema directors who were alive in 1977. Laid out primarily in a two page-per person format, each segment with the portrait on the right and their filmography to date of writing on the left, occasional additional "blurb" included. 177 pages.
First edition. The binding is tight, not split or creased, square. Upper text block edge shows some slight tanning. Front and back board covers close flat, front lower and back upper corners mildly blunted, with back showing some light diagonal creasing. Some slight surface wear on glossy boards, but majority of coating complete and no significant creasing. No loose, torn or folded pages, no writing nor tags or labels. Certainly an above-average copy for such a large, heavy paperback of this vintage. See picture of back cover for a comprehensive list of directors included. See accompanying images for full condition details. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged.
