The text block closes tightly and is square, Board corners are square, mildly worn at tips. Top edges of the boards are somewhat sunned.

Pristine antique book “Kidnapped” Robert Louis Stevenson c.1935 May be unread!
Blue pebbled glossy paper wrapped hardcover, deep red staining to all text block edges, some single color illustrations, 234 pages. This is a "near fine" vintage book with a solid, tight binding and hinges. No loose, torn or folded pages. Text block edges are bright, all but completely free of scuffs or marks. May be an unread copy. No name plate affixed or writing. There are two light linear indents on the upper outer edge of the back board. Matching vintage dust jacket shows a little edge wear in a few places, a little chipping on the lower flap fold corners, but other wise also amazingly preserved. Now in a removable archival sleeve. A really, really pleasing example of a vintage Whitman, very unusual to see one this clean. Made all the more special because of the content - one of the greatest examples of adventure fiction ever penned! Will ship promptly, carefully packaged.

Tony Sarg’s Savings Book “A Trip to Golden City” [1946] First edition Large children’s picture book with spots to insert coins & dollar bill
The matching original jacket has had better days, with two large losses on the front cover along with several smaller ones and the spine is quite worn. Now protected and remediated in a removable archival sleeve. Not perfect, but very few copies of this book are found with a jacket at all. A really interesting piece of childhood Americana!
