Marguerite 1921 Antique children’s hardcover book in paper wrapped boards, cloth wrapped spine Cloth pictorial paste down on front
Edition/printing not noted, but if not first, early, because the prefatory letter in the front is dated April 1920 and the title page shows a print year of 1921. This antique book shows some wear, but is solid. No loose, torn, or folded pages. There is a book plate on the front free end paper, other wise no markings. The red tinting on the upper text block edge has bled down in the margins of some pages. Titling on the spine is sunned or faded. Board corners are bumped and worn through to the board. Has some mileage, but still very pleasing! See accompanying images for full condition details. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged.

Children’s book “I Know an Old Lady” [1969] Illustrated by Abner Graboff vintage hardcover with jacket
This is a "very good" or better vintage hardcover with a crisp, tight binding and board hinges. No loose, torn or folded pages, aside from an X-mas gift inscription dated 1970, no writing. The upper board corners are no bumped, crisp, the lower corners are bumped with just a hint of wear at the tips, not much. The spine head is ever so lightly bumped, bottom edge crisp. The grey cloth is uniform all around, no spotting, tanning or fading. The purple decorations on the front and the lettering on the spine is all crisp and complete, not rubbed. The original dust wrapper shows handling wear at the spine edge (see accompanying images). There 2.5" closed tear at the front bottom near the spine along with some smaller closed tears with creasing and some chipping along the bottom edge. Some tanning along the upper edge, more visible on the inside rather than on the outside. Front flap has been price clipped. Not a perfect jacket, but still pleasing enough and relatively nice considering it is a children's book of this vintage. Will arrive in a removable archival sleeve for proper presentation and protection.Overall, a really nice presentation of a classic children's rhyme/song. Rather scarce to find in hardcover, and especially with a jacket. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged, fully insured.

Illustrated Children’s Western “Wyatt Earp” [c.1956] Like new!
Octavo, glossy coated pictorial wrap around boards, green tinted text block edges around, two color chapter headings along with two color full page illustrations, seemingly one per chapter by Robert Doremus, 282 pages. This is an exceptional copy for one of these Whitman Books published at this time. I would grade it at "very good +" or better, which typically would not be that unusual, but for these books it is very much so. They were made very cheaply and were rather delicate. They did not fair well if exposed to the sun as the glossy coating would get brittle, discolor and lift. Typically also, the spines would crack and split. This book is wholly intact, the coating is complete, the spine nor hinges are not cracked, the text block closes tight and square, the tinted edges are relatively uniform in color, showing no signs of rubbing from use. There are four small surface scuffs to the edges on the bottom (see accompanying images). A hint of wear at the board corner tips and some slight chipping at the spine head and heel edges at the corners. A really, really nice example of a classic children's western published during the pinnacle of the Western in America! A wonderful time capsule. Will ship to you carefully packaged.
