T.S. Eliot: The Design of His Poetry 1953 vintage hardcover
$18.00
This is a “very good” green cloth-wrapped vintage hardcover published in 1953 by Charles Scribner’s Sons.
Binding and hinges are tight, not cracked. Brief, neat original owner name penned on front free end paper, a handful for pages in the first half of the book have some penciled underlining and a few very short marginal annotations at times, none of which impact the legibility of the text. No torn, folded or loose pages. Boards and spine are uniform in color, not tanned or sunned, board corners crisp.
Matching dust wrapper is complete, not price clipped. Some edge wear and chipping along spine and edges, more so along the upper, spine lightly tanned. Some tanning at upper edges. Overall, still quite pleasing.

Vintage 1920s hardcover memoir “Alice Meynell” 1929 First edition by Viola Maynell For poetry fans
First edition, matching points of such as per McBride's Identification of First Editions. The binding is firm with intact hinges, text block is square, closes tightly. Cloth wrapped boards and spine are fairly uniform all around, some sunning along spine and upper on back board. Text block edges is free of spotting, is tanned and dusted on top. No writing, no loose, torn or folded pages. There is a loose thin piece of cloth at the spine tail. The title paste down on the spine is tanned, the one on the front cover is bright. Board corners are bumped, the cloth on the front upper is worn through to the board. Not perfect, but still a very solid and pleasing almost antique (100 years) volume detailing the life an important woman poet and suffragist. See accompanying images for full condition details.
