This is a “very good” vintage hardcover, unpaginated, Maxfield Parrish-esque color illustrations on each opposing page. The binding is intact, no loose, torn or folded pages. Neatly penciled gift inscription on front pastedown, otherwise, no writing or marks. Text block is partially separated from covers on upper third, remainder intact and tight. See accompanying images for full condition details and table of contents (if applicable). Each story is two pages, including its accompanying illustration. Former library book - title page has a library punch and small stamp "withdrawn" and rear free end paper also stamped, otherwise no marks, nothing on the spine. Green cloth wrapped boards are relatively even in color, not tanned, bottom edges show some staining, perhaps from a library jacket (?) . Original dust wrapper is not price clipped, showing original publisher's price of $2.75 inside front flap. Has some creasing and some losses at edges all around. Now protected in a removable archival sleeve.
