This is a “very good-” or better vintage hardcover in blue cloth wrapped boards, published in 1977 by Tomes of Leamington of Warwickshire, 386 pages including index.
First edition, limited edition. Signed on the verso of the front free end paper by Ms. Virginia Winmill Livingstone Armstrong.
Solid binding, no loose, torn or folded pages. Aside from author inscription, no writing, text block closes tightly. Board corners are crisp, not bumped, a hint of wear to tips. The front board top and bottom edges have some discoloration, as does the back lower where the wrapper had adhered to the cloth of the boards, otherwise fairly uniform in color around. Text block top edge is somewhat dusted.
Matching vintage wrapper is not clipped. Has some losses at the upper front edge and on the back upper. Foxing pretty much uniform all around, front and back. Colors are still vibrant. Now in a removable archival sleeve.

The first and last pages were beginning to separate along the spine edge perf due to the stiff stock and the movement of the book. The perfs of both have been reinforced with PH neutral, archival document repair tape (see images), which is intended for such purposes and will not harm the paper, nearly invisible. Some surface rubbing on glossy board covers, front and back, some edge wear. No jams, tears or creasing. A fairly scarce title these days - likely few were printed, and most of those were disassembled to use the cards. Includes a map in the back cover that shows where each of the photographs was taken along the suggested bicycle route. Please review images for complete details.
