First edition. Octavo, black paper wrapped boards over white cloth spine, first edition, original publisher's price of $18.95 on the dust jacket flap, 292 pages. This is a "very good" vintage hardcover book with a solid spine and tight hinges. No writing, no loose, torn or folded pages. First edition. The binding and gutters are intact and solid, not cracked or split. Text block as some foxing throughout on the edges and on the first several pages in front. It appears that the front free end paper was either removed or that the half title page was laid in.
