The Brothers Hildebrandt 1978 Signed by both Numbered limited edition gallery exhibition program Profusely illustrated in color
Limited edition fantasy art book "The Brothers Hildebrandt - A Book About the Artists", published in 1978 for the July 9, 1978 Maryland Funnybook Festival.
The Brothers are well regarded fantasy and science fiction illustrators, having completed commissions for such works as:
>> One of the Original Star Wars "one-sheets" for the original film release
>> The Sword of Shannara
>> The Lord of the Rings
>> The original Clash of the Titans
>> The Brothers also worked with Stan Lee and created art for Marvel Comics
>> many, many other significant works...
The book is #61 of only 100 that were signed by both brothers - I have found no others available anywhere! (Tim died in June of 2006).
This large soft cover book is in very good plus or better condition, with the staples and center page solid.
The glossy covers retain most of their original sheen, with just perhaps the slightest bit of creasing in a few places. There are a few impressions in the surface here or there, where something got pressed against the cover, but not significant, really only visible when held up to the light in the right angle. No tears, chips or losses to the covers.
The interior is free of writing or marks - aside from the Brothers' signatures on the title page - and none of the pages are torn or creased or folded.
This title is 48 pages plus the covers and includes many black and white representations of their work along with color, including:
>> Smaug (centerfold)
>> The Star Wars Cantina band
>> Darth Vader and Ben Kenobi in a light saver duel
>> Concept art for Barbarella
>> The Siege of Minas Tirith
>> and many more...
THIS AMAZING FANTASY "TIME CAPSULE" WILL SURELY MAKE A MOST UNIQUE GIFT OR ADDITION TO YOUR PERSONAL LIBRARY!!
Will ship securely packed and fully insured - US ONLY please.
