Text block closes tightly, a hint of roll. Much of the glossy coating appears to have come off the covers. Original owner names penned inside front free endpaper, otherwise no writing, no torn pages. Super fun! This is one of Ms. Hughes best known of 14 crime noir novels, and it was made into a film by Robert Montgomery in 1947. Please see the images for full condition details.
