This is a vintage soft cover folder that contains a 24 page illustrated booklet with some history of Tolkien’s process of creating the original map for The Hobbit along with a approx. 28 x 29″ 24 panel fold-out color map.
This is in “very good” condition with some edge wear to the folder, internals are in near mint or better condition. No tears or writing, map seams are solid, not split.
Charming little item for that special Tolkien Middle-Earth fan!

Binding is tight, no loose pages, no significant tears, not writing or labels. Pages are lightly tanned, but actually fairly bright; outer edges of covers show chipping and have several closed tears along length. No signs of moisture damp exposure or mildew. GGA cover art is bright, not faded, same with advertisement for the Adventure Book Club on the back. Shows some age, but overall, still a rather pleasing copy of a somewhat scarce issue.
