First edition, first appearance in hardcover form in the UK. No writing, no loose, torn or folded page corners. The binding and board hinges are intact, not split or loose, text block closes tightly and is square. There is a bump to the front board lower edge. Corners are fairly crisp, with a little wear on tips. Spine head and tail are bumped. Gold foil lettering on the spine is bright and complete.
