This is a "very good+" to "near fine" vintage paperback from the desirable "mapback" series that Dell Books popularized in the Forties, published circa 1947.

A Fuzzy Wuzzy Book “Miss Sniff” 1945 Illustrated children’s book with faux “fur” on the animals
$144.00
A "very good" vintage full color, illustrated children's book published by Whitman Publishing in 1945, unpaginated.
First edition. Binding and gutters are tight, no loose, torn, or folded pages. Christmas 1946 gift inscription on front free end-paper, other wise no marks or writing. Pages are bright. The "fuzz" on the cats and dogs is mostly complete, if somewhat compressed due to age. The fuzz has created "ghosts" on the opposite facing pages. The matching vintage dust wrapper is not clipped. Shows some edge wear with a little chipping at flap corners, and a small loss at the spine head. A few surface scuffs on the back cover, but overall, a very pleasing, much better than average dust wrapper for a children's book of this vintage. See accompanying images for full condition details. Scarce title in with scarcer yet dust jacket. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged and insured.

Ride the Pink Horse: 1946 Dell Map Back Vintage Paperback
This is a "good plus" vintage paperback with the desirable "map back" design that Dell Books popularized in the Forties, published in 1946.
The binding is solid, not cracked or shook. The reason I have graded this as just "good plus" is that there is what appears to be some predation at the top of the spine. Otherwise complete and solid. Text block closes tightly, a hint of roll. Much of the glossy coating appears to have come off the covers. Original owner names penned inside front free endpaper, otherwise no writing, no torn pages. Super fun! This is one of Ms. Hughes best known of 14 crime noir novels, and it was made into a film by Robert Montgomery in 1947. Please see the images for full condition details. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged.
