Text block edges are fairly bright, not thumbed, upper edge green staining relatively uniform. Board corners are crisp, not bumped, spine head and heal mildly bumped. Gold lettering and decoration on the spine is bright, not rubbed or faded. Black cloth shows perhaps just a hint of sunning in a few places along board edges, but very slight if. Some foxing on block edge and pages in places, but not overwhelmingly so.
The matching dust jacket is not clipped, showing original price of 5.95 inside front flap. Some edge wear with a little chipping, most pronounced at the spine edges. Small round spot on bottom near spine where the gilt has lifted and a linear area along first 50 or so pages, looks to me that there was some moisture exposure at that area and it can be seen in the page margins in that are where the paper is lightly rippled from the exposure. No loose, torn or folded pages, no marks or name plates. Some slight wear at the very board corner tips. One small chip in the leather on the front board upper margin, a few very small ones on the hubs of the spine.See images for condition details.
