This is a “very good” or better vintage hardcover in decorated maroon cloth wrapped boards, published circa 1983 by Houghton Mifflin.First edition, 2nd printing, signed by acclaimed children’s writer Nancy Willard, coming from her personal library in Poughkeepsie. Mrs Willard was awarded the Newbery Award for her work “A Visit to William Blake’s Inn”.
Tight binding and gutters, no loose, torn, or folded pages, aside from Mrs. Willard’s signature, no writing. Board corners are crisp. A little bit of surface wear on the back board.Original jacket is complete, with original price on front flap. Some light edge wear, small loss at the bottom of the spine edge. Front lower edge has been creased. Not perfect, but still very pleasing. Will arrive in a removable archival sleeve.Will make for a unique gift indeed.Will ship promptly, carefully packaged.

A Fuzzy Wuzzy Book “Miss Sniff” 1945 Illustrated children’s book with faux “fur” on the animals
First edition. Binding and gutters are tight, no loose, torn, or folded pages. Christmas 1946 gift inscription on front free end-paper, other wise no marks or writing. Pages are bright. The "fuzz" on the cats and dogs is mostly complete, if somewhat compressed due to age. The fuzz has created "ghosts" on the opposite facing pages. The matching vintage dust wrapper is not clipped. Shows some edge wear with a little chipping at flap corners, and a small loss at the spine head. A few surface scuffs on the back cover, but overall, a very pleasing, much better than average dust wrapper for a children's book of this vintage. See accompanying images for full condition details. Blue pebbled glossy paper wrapped hardcover, deep red staining to all text block edges, some single color illustrations, 234 pages. This is a "near fine" vintage book with a solid, tight binding and hinges. No loose, torn or folded pages. Text block edges are bright, all but completely free of scuffs or marks. May be an unread copy. No name plate affixed or writing. There are two light linear indents on the upper outer edge of the back board. Matching vintage dust jacket shows a little edge wear in a few places, a little chipping on the lower flap fold corners, but other wise also amazingly preserved. Now in a removable archival sleeve. A really, really pleasing example of a vintage Whitman, very unusual to see one this clean.
