This is a “very good” or better vintage hardcover in mild green paper wrapped boards with tan cloth wrapped spine, unpaginated, published in 1982 by The Viking Press.
First edition. Signed on the half-title by Alice and Martin Provensen, the illustrators.
Solid binding, no loose, torn or folded pages. No writing, text block closes tightly. Board corners are crisp, not bumped, a hint of wear to tips. Board edges my show just the slightest hint sunning.
Matching vintage wrapper is complete, no clipped. No significant flaws or signs of wear. Now protected in a removable archival sleeve.

Binding is tight and crisp, closes tightly and squarely, gilt on three edges of the text block, otherwise, bright, uniform all around, one small spot on top edge. Board corners are all crisp and sharp, not bumped. Satin placemark sewn-in is not frayed. No writing, torn, folded or creased pages.
