This is an end-of-the-war era US Government-issue softcover printed for the soldiers. Designed in the familiar, landscape format of the “Armed Services Editions”. S-27, published March 1945.
This is a “very good” or better vintage stapled paperback. No writing, no loose, torn or folded pages. Binding is intact and tight. Text block is square and closes tightly. Pages show some tanning on all edges.

Capt., Air Corps” neatly typed on inside of front cover and on title page.

There are two pages - 111/112 and 113/114 with the upper corners folded - it looks like it is accidental as there is no indication of any other pages showing signs of having been folded as if when marking a stopping point. Former library book - title page has a library punch and small stamp "withdrawn" and rear free end paper also stamped, otherwise no marks, nothing on the spine. Green cloth wrapped boards are relatively even in color, not tanned, bottom edges show some staining, perhaps from a library jacket (?) . Original dust wrapper is not price clipped, showing original publisher's price of $2.75 inside front flap. Has some creasing and some losses at edges all around. Now protected in a removable archival sleeve.
