Alfred Hitchcock’s Three Investigators “The Mystery of the Screaming Clock” c.1970 Vintage hardcover series book
$36.00
“The Mystery of the Screaming Clock”, featuring Alfred Hitchcock’s Three Investigators, book #9 in the series, published circa 1970 by Random House.
Early, pre-ISBN printing, blue illustrated end papers, series list on back cover to “The Mystery of the Coughing Dragon”, which was originally published in 1970
This is a “very good” book. The gutters are tight, text block just slightly canted, closing tightly, with all edges free of spotting or marks, upper just a hint dusted. No writing or tags or library marks, page 59 has it’s upper corner turned down, otherwise no folded pages, no loose or torn pages. Pictorial covers are uniform in color, spine shows just a touch of tanning perhaps. Some light edge wear to the board corner tips and spine head and tail edges.
Will make a great gift for the Three Investigators fan on your list.

The Motion Picture Chums War Spectacle 1916 First edition Last book of the series Extremely scarce title Antique children’s series book
First edition, identified by the copyright page lists and also series books lists in the back of the book. Solid binding, no writing or marks aside from a name carefully penciled on the front free end paper. No torn, folded or loose pages. Board corners are bumped, more so on the bottoms, some minimal wear to the cloth on the corner tips, not worn through. Spine head and tail bumped, but cloth is not frayed. The cloth wrapping is a little rippled on the front board above the title, and their is a triangular section on the upper portion of the back board where it is floating from the underlying board. Lower corner of back board has what looks to be remnants of the dust jacket adhered to it. Not quite perfect, but still very pleasing copy of a rather scarce final title in this early Stratemeyer Syndicate series. See accompanying images for full condition details. Will make for a great gift for that special collector or perhaps an upgrade for your collection! Will ship promptly, carefully packaged, fully insured.
