Authentic antique lithograph, not a reproduction, in excellent vintage condition.
One 3/8" and one 1/4" closed tear at bottom edge near right corner, otherwise quite pristine and crisp; no writing, folds or creases. This plate has been salvaged from a 130 year old bound volume of several issues of the magazine Scientific American, Architects and Builders edition. At that time, instead of reprinting the pages of the magazines as a book, they actually took the magazines themselves and bound them. This book had been heavily damaged over the years, but the wonderful plates were mostly able to be saved. Last image in listing shows how entire page with margins is laid out.
