D’ri and I
Set during the War of 1812, Irving Bacheller’s historical novel recounts the adventures and romantic entanglements of Colonel Ramon Bell along the northern border.
Illustrated throughout with full-page plates by F. C. Yohn, the narrative offers an early 20th-century perspective on American frontier warfare and military lore.
Its decorative gilt cloth binding renders it an attractive example of turn-of-the-century American bookmaking.
