The Rover Boys on A Tour 1916 First edition Cloth-wrapped antique children’s series book
$28.00
This is a “very good -” or better antique hardcover in pictorial cloth wrapped boards with black-and-white illustrated semi-glossy frontispiece published by Grosset & Dunlap in 1916.
First edition, identified by the copyright page lists and also series books lists in the back of the book.
Solid binding, no writing or marks aside from a brief numeric annotation carefully penned on the front free end paper.
No torn, folded or loose pages. Board corners are mildly bumped, more so on the back upper. Cloth at corner tips is worn, through on back upper and lightly so on front lower. Spine head and tail bumped, but cloth is not frayed. Page 166 lower corner accidentally turned, otherwise no folded, torn or loose pages. All black and white illustrations are present. Text block edges show uniform tanning all around, close flat and square. Cloth wrapping fairly uniform front, back and spine, no significant tanning or sunning
Not quite perfect, but still very pleasing copy in this early Stratemeyer Syndicate series.
