"The Big Time", by Fritz Leiber, published by Ace Books in 1982. First edition thus. This is a "very good plus" vintage paperback with a solid binding. No loose, or torn pages. There are two pages - 111/112 and 113/114 with the upper corners folded - it looks like it is accidental as there is no indication of any other pages showing signs of having been folded as if when marking a stopping point. No writing. Inside the covers shows tanning. Has some very light surface wear if held at the right angle, but really quite above average condition. See accompanying images for full condition details. This is a "very good" vintage hardcover in blue cloth wrapped boards, published in 1938 by Henry Holt, containing four short children's stories, 45 pages.
First edition (as per McBride's identification guide, since no additional printings are indicated, it is a first as per Holt's practice for the time period).
Gutters and hinges are intact, not cracked. Aside from a neatly penned gift inscription, no writing. No loose, torn or folded pages. End papers are tanned, page edges just a hint so.
The original matching dust wrapper has losses at the edges of the front board and spine edges. Tanning and scuffs evident. Original publisher's price of $1.75 inside front flap. Flap fold corners are chipped, general edge wear overall. Now protected in a removable archival sleeve.
