This is a large, quarto, size paperback in pictorial covers, profusely illustrated in black and white throughout, 4 glossy pages in full color, signed by both editors on the title page, 330 pages including an index.
This is a "very good" vintage paperback. The text block closes squarely and tightly, the lower page corners of pages 171-177 have been mis-trimmed at printing, and are folded up, otherwise, no loose, torn or folded pages from normal use. Binding is tight, not cracked or rolled. Text block edges lightly tanned, but internally the pages are bright. Over all edge wear with come chipping on covers, front cover slightly sunned at spine edge. Front cover relatively free from creasing, back cover has some light crease toward outer edge (see accompanying images).
Overall, a very pleasant, special volume. Sure to make a special gift for the Miss Marple / Christie / Poirot fan in your life! Perhaps you!

First American edition as per Bill McBride's guide to identifying first editions: no additional printings are noted on the verso (see accompanying images). 1,000 copies were printed.
This is a "very good - " vintage book with a solid spine and sturdy cover hinges. The paste downs have the remains of the tape used to affix the dust jacket to the book, with the front end paper having the original owner's name neatly penned. Front and back board surfaces are relatively even overall, not spotted or stained. Some edge wear to bottom board edges. The board corners are mildly bumped with a hint of wear at very tips. Titling on the spine is fairly rubbed. Book has a hint of spine cock (when laying flat, as you look at the top or bottom edge, the front cover over hangs the back cover by a tiny bit - see accompanying images).
The original vintage dust jacket is not price clipped, showing original publisher's price of $2.50. Remains of tape runs along outer edges of both front and back flaps. The spine is well tanned, with small losses at top and bottom. Wear and small losses at the corners of all flap folds. Not a perfect jacket, but still pleasant. Now carefully encased in a removable archival sleeve for protection and presentation.

This is a "good" or better vintage book with an intact but weakened binding, the gutters are not split, but you can feel a little "give". No loose, torn or folded pages. No writing. Some surface wear, some light creasing in the leather on front and back. Board corners are worn at the ends, with the front lower corner jammed with the leather and inside past down separated at about 1/2". The board wrap is split at the bottom of the spine and along the front lower edge for about 2 1/2".
Showing a little wear, but still a nice, pleasant, almost antique volume!
