H.G. Wells “The Invisible Man” c.1967 Vintage cloth-wrapped quarto illustrated hardcover in a matching slipcase

Original price was: $34.00.Current price is: $26.52.
"The Invisible Man" by H.G. Wells, published by the Heritage Press circa 1967.
Quarto vintage hardcover in grey gilt decorated cloth wrapped boards, pictorial endpapers, embossed title page, cloth head and tail band in binding, illustrated by Charles Mozley, 164 pages. This is a "very good+" book with tight spine and hinges, no loose, torn or folded pages, no writing. Text block closes tight and flat, edges uniform in color all around. Board corners are crisp, not bumped. Spine head and heel are crisp. Overall board cloth colors are uniform, however at the right angle(s) and right light, you can see some faint spotting on the cloth; the spine shows some slight sunning. The matching vintage stiff-board slipcase is solid, intact, no splits, light gray paper wrapping complete all around, albeit shows some sunning in places. A few small spots in a couple of places, but overall fairly uniform around. Overall, a very pleasing vintage book and case that will look handsome on your mantle or shelf! Will ship promptly, carefully packaged.

Dashiell Hammett “The Maltese Falcon” February 1945 vintage Pocket paperback in dust jacket

Original price was: $94.00.Current price is: $76.14.
CONDITION:
Book: Good plus with a solid binding, no torn, folded or loose pages, no writing. Has some fairly heavy creasing about mid-way down the spine, book closes flat, tinted block edges show some sunning. Inside front and back covers, there is the remnants of where the dust jacket had originally be glued to the book - I do not know if the publisher did that or if an overzealous owner did. Artwork on the covers is bright. Jacket: Acceptable to good condition, large loss along the middle of the spine, chipping at spine head, no writing, creased with some chipping along front bottom edge. Backside of flaps show the reverse of the glue action mentioned in book description. Now carefully protected in an archival sleeve. See accompanying images for full condition details. Not a perfect copy, but still very specials considering this was the books first appearance in paperback form and the original dust wrapper is still present. ABOUT: Fourth printing of this edition. Published by Pocket Books in February of 1945. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged.

Dell “map back” mystery Agatha Christie “The Murder at the Vicarage” Vintage 1948 paperback

Original price was: $184.00.Current price is: $149.04.
This is a "very good minus" vintage paperback with a solid binding, no significant flaws to speak of, aside from a couple of brief numerical annotations in the end papers, no writing, no loose, torn or folded pages. Text block edges are somewhat thumbed and show some tanning. Front cover has a hint of curl to it, clear coating is present on boards, however, has lifted from spine, which is sunned.
Still, a very pleasing copy, with that famous Dell map back dynamic artwork! This edition has begun to become rather scarce. See accompanying images for full condition details. Will ship promptly, carefully packaged to arrive safely to you!
