This is a “very good” cloth and faux leather wrapped vintage hardcover published by Chatham River in 1986, 692.
First edition thus.
The binding is tight, not split or weak. No loose, torn or folded pages. Text block is square, closes tightly. The upper and outer text block edges have their gilt faded, likely from sun, the bottom edge is still mostly intact. Board corners are crisp, not bumped. Lettering and decoration on the spine is bright, not rubbed or faded. Lettering on the front board looks some what faded. Red cloth on boards shows some sunning and spotting, mildly curled from aging.
Not perfect, but still a very pretty volume, showing some signs of aging, but no real signs of handling.
